Fantastic weekend in Lubbock at the Stock Horse of Texas Show (Ranch Versatility). Showed two Method trained horses in Reining, Working Cow, Trail and Ranch Pleasure. Horses we're really good, showed well and demonstrated a lot of character. Super happy about their performance for the first show of the year.

SOLD! Here are a couple of show steers from Shane Meier's barn.. Love these guys. Dr. Stephens doing acupuncture for a show steer to help reduce a little back soreness. Worked well and he was a great patient!
Special thanks to Central Texas Cutting Horse Association for the great shows you 3 Amigos put on. Very honored and grateful for recognition for our year end Champion award for LAE 5/6 NP. Funky (Shesa Funky Monkey) did a great job all year for me and is now cutting for Andra Wisian! Her new cutting partner! So excited for them both!!!!
Today, two fillies out of Clinton's breeding program, that I bought earlier this year, were saddled for the first time at Sundance Ranch. One is a Little Joe Cash filly and the other, a Hollywood Tinseltown filly. Barn names are Mouse and Squirrel!!! Some of you may remember seeing Mouse at the 2105 Ranch Rally!
After saddling today, they were able to get comfortable in their new 'clothes'. If a young colt can walk, trot, lope and gallop, off lead, in more of a herd-type setting, they adapt to their new duds, quickly. Just like children, these horses don't know what clothes feel like. The more they can wear their clothes while moving around, the better. The biggest mistake people make is putting a saddle on a colt and then taking it right off. They just need time wearing their clothes to build their confidence. They did great and I'm super proud of how they did today! Stay tuned, I'll post info as we near their first ride. Probably middle of next week! Here's an inside view into my time at the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch in 2016!
